Zera Sleeve Extender, Shoulder Sleeve Shrug
Original price was: ₹400.00.₹249.00Current price is: ₹249.00.
What a sleeve extender does
A lot of tops, kurtis and abayas stop at the elbow or just below it. An extender fills that gap. You pull it up your arm, tuck the top edge under your own sleeve, and the cuff sits at your wrist. From outside it looks like one long sleeve.
One pair works under many outfits, so you don't need a full-sleeve inner for each.
Styles we stock
For dresses and kurtis
Our sleeve extender for dress is the one most people buy. It's a plain stretch tube in five shades, ₹60 a piece, and suits short-sleeve kurtis, tunics and party dresses.
For hijab and abaya outfits
The hijab version comes in two darker shades that sit well under an abaya or a long hijab. It costs ₹70.
Hand sleeves and the Moja pair
If you want more length, go for hand sleeves for women at ₹100. The Moja hand sleeves are sold as a pair for ₹140. They run from the wrist to past the elbow, with a ribbed cuff that grips the wrist.
Fabrics and how to choose
Viscose lycra is smooth and stretchy. It stays up well under thin fabric. The lycra part is spandex, a stretch fibre you can read about on Britannica.
Cotton jersey is softer and lets more air through, so it feels cooler on humid Kerala days. It can loosen a little after many washes.
Lace and net are for functions. They are sheer, so they cover less. Our own pieces are a soft stretch blend in one free size.
| Type | Fabric | Best for | Season | Care |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Plain extender | Viscose lycra or stretch blend | Kurtis, tops, dresses | All year | Cold hand wash, dry in shade |
| Cotton jersey extender | Cotton jersey | College, work, travel | Hot, humid months | Gentle machine wash |
| Lace or net extender | Lace or nylon net | Weddings, Eid, parties | Evenings, AC halls | Hand wash only, no wringing |
| Hand sleeves | Stretch blend | Umrah, Hajj, niqab, driving | All year | Cold wash, no bleach |
How to choose the right sleeve extender
If your sleeve ends at the elbow, a standard extender is enough. If it ends above the elbow, or the dress is sleeveless, pick hand sleeves so the top edge stays hidden.
Free-size pieces stretch to fit most arms. If your wrists are very slim, a ribbed cuff stops the sleeve sliding over your hand. Match the shade to your outfit or your skin, not your hijab, so the join is harder to see.
For Umrah, Eid and weddings
Searches in India go up from April to September, the months of Eid al-Adha, the Hajj season and many weddings. For Umrah, pack two pairs so you have a spare while one dries.
Care tips
Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Skip bleach and fabric softener, because both weaken the stretch. Press the water out instead of wringing, and dry flat in the shade.

FAQ
Where can I buy sleeve extenders online in Kerala?
You can order them at qatarcollections.in, the online store of Qatar Collections in Wadakkanchery, Thrissur. We stock extenders for dresses and hijab outfits, plus hand sleeves and a Moja pair. Delhivery delivers across Kerala and the rest of India, and cash on delivery is available at checkout.
What is a sleeve extender used for?
It covers the bare part of your arm below a short or three-quarter sleeve. You slip it on and tuck the top under your own sleeve, so the outfit looks full sleeved. Women wear them under kurtis, dresses, tops and abayas for daily wear, prayer, Umrah and functions.
How do you wear a sleeve extender under an abaya?
Pull the extender up your arm first, then put the abaya on over it. Tuck the top edge at least two fingers under the abaya sleeve so it doesn't peek out when you lift your arm. If the abaya sleeve is wide, choose hand sleeves, since they reach higher up the arm.
Which fabric is best in hot weather?
Cotton jersey is the coolest choice for hot, humid weather, because it breathes and soaks up sweat. Viscose lycra is smoother and stays up better, but it feels warmer after a few hours. For a long day outdoors in Kerala, pick cotton jersey or a thin stretch blend that dries quickly.
Are sleeve extenders free size?
Yes, most are free size and stretch to fit most arms. Every piece we sell at Qatar Collections is free size. If your wrists are very slim, choose a pair with a ribbed cuff, like the Moja hand sleeves, so the cuff stays at your wrist and doesn't slide down.
What is the difference between a sleeve extender and hand sleeves?
An extender is shorter and covers the forearm, from your own sleeve down to the wrist. Hand sleeves are longer and usually reach past the elbow, so they work under sleeveless or very short sleeves. Many women keep both, using extenders for kurtis and hand sleeves for Umrah or niqab.
